Papers presenting research results or reflecting on the articulations between cultural/artistic practices, activism and research are accepted, taking into account the following axes:
- Artistic practices as knowledge production
- Action research and engaged artistic practices
- Artistic creations and forms of social protest
- A(r)tivism in the public and private spheres
- Critical, intersectional and decolonial methodologies and theories in the arts, social sciences and humanities
- Communities of practice and collective knowledge production
- Ethics and politics in the arts, social sciences and humanities
- Documentation and archiving of artistic-research practices
- Resistance and social transformation
- Situated knowledge and local artistic practices
- Links between youth activism and creative practices
- New social movements between the local, the virtual and the global
COMBART accepts abstracts and communications in Portuguese, Spanish or English. Abstracts must be no longer than 500 words and clearly explain the context of the research or theoretical and/or methodological reflection to be presented at the conference, indicating the objectives, conceptual assumptions and methodology, as well as the expected or achieved results.
Submissions must include a short biography of the author(s) (max.150 words), their affiliation and contact information. If not originally written in english, the abstracts and bios must be accompanied by an English version.. The limit is one submission per author (as first author).
